LETRON was created by Paul Horber, who owned a Electronics Disribution Company for 28 years, and upon his retirement decided to engage in something different: Designing LED-based lamps and lights. This new technology was fascinating, as very little was done in South Africa at the time. The designs range from the first "BoxLight" to pendants, floor lights and table lamps designed with high output warm-white LED chips especially for reading. These are designs using brushed aluminium tubes and cylinders. All lamps are hand-made by engineers and artisans to meet the requirements of each individual design.
The very low power consumption of these lamps (approximately one tenth of conventional lights) make them the lights of the future. The LED-engines have a projected life of 20 years (based on a 2-4-hour per day usage). No more regular replacement of bulbs!
The manufacturer is offering a three-year warranty on all products, limited to faulty workmanship and failure of light-engine or power supply
